Position: Data Systems and Digital Learning Coordinator

Reports To: Chief Technology Officer

Data Systems: The Data Systems aspect of this role encompasses overseeing student information systems, with a primary focus on PowerSchool, as well as ensuring accurate management of various related accounts integral to district operations. These include student email accounts, Single-sign-on (NCEdCloud), Staff and Student UIDs, Staff NCID, Website directories, and other essential systems. As the district-level expert on PowerSchool, responsibilities involve providing comprehensive support to school data managers, including training, troubleshooting, data entry, analysis, and report generation. Additionally, duties include administering PowerSchool user security, managing student demographic data, facilitating transfers of student information between schools, and maintaining databases essential for auto-dialer operations interfacing with the student information system.

Digital Learning: The Digital Learning component of this role involves supporting teaching and learning technology resources and facilitating the integration of digital learning initiatives within the district. This includes providing support to school media specialists, instructional facilitators, teachers, and staff in utilizing online resources and learning management systems. The coordinator collaborates with stakeholders to implement digital learning resources and support schools in integrating digital learning platforms and applications such as CANVAS, Google Apps, and others.

Minimum Experience:Two years of hands-on experience with PowerSchool or comparable Student Information Systems, involving data entry and management. Preferred: Demonstrated experience in integrating digital teaching and learning methods. Preferred: Two years of experience in leadership roles within digital learning, encompassing integration, implementation and support initiatives
